Biography

WEISBUCH

CLAUDE WEISBUCH was born on 8 February 1927 in Thionville (France).
He studied in the Nancy School of Fine Arts and in 1953 he was appointed to teach in the Saint Etienne School of Fine Arts. He settled down in Paris in the 60s.
He participated in collective exhibitions :Paris Biennale , Autumn Show , Painters Witnesses of their time , the French Engravers Painters.
Claude Weisbuch soon appeared as being an exceptional painter , drawer , engraver and lithographer.
In 1961 , he won the Art Critic Award.
Very numerous exhibitions revealed Claude Weisbuch in Paris , in Europe , in the United States and in Japan and the most important Art Shows display his works.
His main themes are theatre (clowns…) , portraits , music , horses and the Republic
